The Fourth of July (the 2nd and 3rd too)...

We were blessed the Fourth of July weekend with a quick visit from Joshua. He stayed at college for the summer, where he is picking barley on campus for agricultural research center. He also brought his girlfriend home for the visit. We had an enjoyable visit of showing off the beautiful sights of Whidbey Island.

On Sunday we all headed down to the Mariner game to meet up with some special friends. We had a great time cheering on a Mariner win, and eating in China Town.

Unfortunately the fourth was not the best day for a parade, but that didn't stop us from celebrating.
Plus there was the cutest girl in the parade!  Jaelyn was with the OHHS robotics club who made her arm.

And just two days later, Mike and I were back in Seattle, this time to cheer on the Sounders. Friends of ours generously invited us to celebrate a birthday with them, which we gladly accepted. Kirk and Mike discussed detailed statistics and critiqued the game, while Greta and I enjoyed the pitch side views and constant deluge of food!
We were reminded once again how blessed we are with wonderful friends, families, and views! Now to China in just a few days...
