Chinese New Year

I don't know what happened to these pictures the last time I posted them, but they disappeared. Oh the frustrations of modern technology! Here's the whole post again...

We have all been under the weather this week, from colds to pink eye to throwing up. Didn't stop us from celebrating Chinese New Year though. The local adoptive families got together for our annual celebration. The girls, Kellen and I had a lot of fun.

Josh missed out on the cny celebration as he was in the school play, Cliques and the Cafeteria. It was about typical conversations in the lunchroom and hallways of a middle school. The family watched it Friday night. Let's just say I found it hilarious! Joshua did a great job and had a lot of fun. He played the "dumb jock." Definitely not type cast!

Mike spent the last few days in Tacoma at the state wrestling tournament. This was the first year that had a separate girls' bracket, and one of his wrestlers took 2nd place. We're looking forward to having him around a little more often now.

Pretty Princesses

Here are some pretty princess pictures...yes, Joshua knows I'm posting this!

Little Valentines

Here's the girls singing their Valentine Song this morning. I haven't figured out all the words, but it's something about "Red Little Valentine I love you......pink little valentine says I do too." There's a bit of mumbling in there too, but that's my best interpretation!

Dancing Queen

Another first....here is my first attempt at posting a video using youtube. Of course, Kellen had to help me. This video is of Jaelyn dancing in the birthday dress her Uncle Pat and Aunt Tonyia bought her. It is adorable, as it has a pocket underneath that has a music box that plays Swan Lake when you push the button. This is of the first time she wore it and danced around the kitchen. You can imagine how jealous Kaia was! Jaelyn has since let her wear it several times. I'm not sure if it was Kaia's, the sharing would be reciprocated!

First attempt

Well Mike has been telling me for a few months now that I need to start my own blog, so that is what I am finally doing. You know, in my spare time! I am totally clueless and feeling my way as I develop this page, so hopefully you will notice an improvement as I learn by trial and error. To those of you experienced bloggers, I welcome any advice you may have for me. Just don't pressure me to update too freqently (yes, you mom!).
